Bangladesh’s geographic location and it’s structure.

Geographical location of Bangladesh, it is a South-Asian country. India is the neighbor country of it’s, and near about 3715 km boundary line has with India, 280 km with Myanmar and 716 km is our coast line with Bay of Bengal. It’s in the north and west is India, on the east is India and Myanmar and on the south is Bay of Bengal. The total land area 1, 47,570 sq. km. and Bangladesh are a low land country. Naturally the country divided between three parts. It’s has forest area, cultivate area and water resources area. About 25000 sq km land covered by forest area, about 25% of total land, the quantity per head 0.02 hector. The cultivate land area about 2, 40000 sq km, the quantity per head 0.8 hector. Rest of covered by locality and water resources land. About 80%  people lead their life depends on agriculture. Paddy, Jute, Tea and Wheat are the main corps here in Bangladesh. And a large quantity of land covered by rivers and others water resources and a lot of people lead their life by fishing. The population of this country about 16 coror.

Bangladesh divided between 7 divisions. Under the seven divisions it has 64 districts, and under the sixty four districts it has 482 Upozillas. Total police station 558 no’s, Municipal 307 no’s and about 88500 no’s villages.  

Rajshahi division:  Geographically it is stand on north-west corner from city of Dhaka that’s mean 290° angle from Dhaka. Neighboring division is Rangpur, Dhaka and Khulna and west side is India. There are 7 districts under the Rajshahi division, 1. Rajshahi District.  2. Sirajgoanj District, 3. Joypurhate District, 4. Pabna District, 5. Nator District, 6. Nowgoan District, and 7. Bogro District.

Rongpur division: Geographically it is stand on north-west corner from city of Dhaka that’s mean 330° angle from Dhaka. Neighboring division is Rajshahi, and Dhaka and north, east and west side is India. There are 9 districts under the Rongpur division, 1. Rangpur District, 2. Dinajpur District, 3. Gaibandha District, 4. Thakurgoan District, 5. Nilphamary District, 6. Ponchogor District, 7. Kurigram District, 8. Lalmonirhate District, and 9. Nobabgaoj District.
 
 Dhaka division: Geographically it is stand in centre point of. Neighboring division is Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong, Sylhet, and just north is India. There are 17 districts under Dhaka division. 1. Dhaka District, 2. Narayanganj District, 3. Myamonshing District, 4. Manikganj District, 5. Kishorganj District, 6. Sharpur District, 7. Foridpur District, 8. Shoriatpur District, 9. Madaripur District, 10. Jamalpur District, 11. Gajipur District, 12. Nattrokona District, 13. Gopalganj District, 14. Munshiganj District, 15. Tangail District, 16. Rajbari District, and 17. Norshingdi District.

Chittagong division: Geographically it is stand on east-south corner from city of Dhaka that’s mean 130° angle from Dhaka. Neighboring division is Dhaka in north, Barisal in west, Sylhet in north and west side is India and Myanmar. There are 11 districts under the Chittagong division. 1. Chittagong District, 2. Cox’s Bazar District, 3. Noakhali District, 4. Feni District, 5. Chadpur District, 6. Cumilla District, 7. Laxmipur District, 8. Brammanbaria District, 9. Bandarbal District, 10. Rangamati District, and 11. Khagrachhori District.  


Khulna Division: Geographically it is stand on west-south corner from city of Dhaka that’s mean 230° angle from Dhaka. Neighboring division is Dhaka in north-east, Barisal in west-south corner, and in west side is India. There are 10 districts under the Khulna division. 1. Khulna District, 2. Joshor District, 3. Satkhira District, 4. Bagerhate District, 5. Maherpur District, 6. Norail District, 7. Jhinaidha District, 8. Kustia District, 9. Chuadanga District, and 10. Magura District.


Barisal Division: Geographically it is standing in south of Dhaka city, that’s mean 180° angle from Dhaka. Neighboring division is Dhaka in north, Khulna in west, and Chittagong in east side. There are 6 districts in Barisal division. 1. Barisal District, 2. Phirojpur District, 3. Jhhalokathi District, 4. Borguna District, 5. Vola District, and 6. Potuakhali District.


Sylhet Division: Geographically it is standing in east of Dhaka city, that’s mean 90° angle from Dhaka. Neighboring division is Dhaka in west, and Chittagong in west-south corner, and north, west and south is India. There are 4 districts in Sylhet division. 1. Sylhet District, 2. Moulobhibazar District, 3. Sunamgang District, and 4. Hobiganj District.
